This is also the point of departure for many walks in the pyrenees.

Entirely renovated in 2004, these offer all modern comforts in the heart of a mountain village. In Les Cabannes you'll find several small shops; 12 km away in Ax les Thermes there are many more shops and services as well as the thermal spa, casino etc. More ski stations and tax-free shopping in Andorra are just 45 minutes away.
